Panasonic Canada announces corporate partnership with Olympic Spirit Toronto attraction

Mississauga -- July 6, 2004 – Toronto’s newest landmark attraction, Olympic Spirit Toronto at the Yonge-Dundas Square, will be supported by Panasonic Canada with the latest technology for the interactive, entertainment and educational displays.

Olympic Spirit Toronto, the world’s only Olympic themed entertainment complex, will open its doors to Toronto’s public in August 2004. The 52,000 square foot complex is dedicated to celebrating the Olympic spirit and is the first permanent Olympic Spirit Centre in the world.

“Having Panasonic Canada as a corporate partner adds a tremendous amount to this amazing facility,” says Neil Miller, president, Olympic Spirit Toronto. “They are much more than a sponsor. The Panasonic products and technical expertise that will be evident throughout the building will make for a dynamic and fascinating experience.”

Panasonic will outfit all the audio and visual needs for the exhibits including Digital Light Processing (DLP) projectors for the main Olympic theatre “powered by Panasonic”, plus interactive and informative displays on each of the floors. In total, Panasonic Canada is providing approximately 75 display products including LCD, Plasma and projectors. The displays will celebrate sport and competition while telling the history of the Olympic Games. Panasonic Canada will be working with Edwards Technologies on the integration of the technology.
