Seven Applicant Cities Vy for 2016 Olympic Games
Lausanne, Switzerland - October 18, 2007
The cities vying to become host of the Games of the Olympiad in 2016 are meeting at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne this week,
attending the IOC's 2016 Applicant Cities’ Seminar. The seven cities are:
· Baku, Azerbaijan
· Chicago, USA
· Doha, Qatar
· Madrid, Spain
· Prague, Czech Republic
· Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
· Tokyo, Japan
The Host City will be elected by the IOC Members at the IOC Session in Copenhagen on October 2, 2009.
